Qispikay is a deeply rooted skincare brand inspired by the founder’s Peruvian home. More than just clean beauty, it’s a celebration of ancestral wisdom, cultural richness, and the land itself. Each product is made with care, honoring traditional ingredients and the vibrant energy of Peru.
The founder was overwhelmed from making design decisions she wasn't confident on, and was so excited to have an outside perspective. The brand had a powerful story and meaningful foundation, but needed an identity system that could reflect its cultural depth while appealing to a conscious, modern audience. The visuals had to feel bold yet grounded, natural yet elevated and never overly commercial or trendy.
I positioned Qispikay as an eco-conscious skincare brand with cultural soul — moody, peaceful, and richly expressive. The brand mark, an Andean cock-of-the-rock, is the national bird of Peru and serves as a symbol of freedom, nature, and Peruvian pride. A tropical yet earthy palette tied the brand to nature, while the visual language stayed intentionally simple, eclectic, and rooted in artisan beauty. The tone of voice was designed to speak softly but with purpose and connect heritage to self-care with every product.
Qispikay now feels like a brand with soul and substance, culturally reverent, visually distinct, and emotionally grounded. With its new identity, it’s positioned to grow with integrity and clarity while honoring where it came from.
